Lamb Burgers

Serves 4

500g lamb mince

1 onion, finely chopped

1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated

2 garlic cloves, crushed

1–2 red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped

handful of fresh coriander, chopped

handful of fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp ground coriander

seasoning, to taste

vegetables, to serve

A lovely alternative to beef burgers, which work brilliantly in the air fryer. You can put them in your favourite burger bun, but I prefer to have these with salad, tzatziki sauce and some warm pitta.

In a large bowl, combine the minced lamb with the onion, ginger, garlic and chilli. Mix well to combine. Add the herbs and spices and season. Mix again.

Form the lamb mixture into four burger shapes. I find the easiest way to do this is to make a ball and then flatten it.

Place the lamb burgers into the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping. Set the temperature to 190°C and cook for 10–12 minutes, or until cooked through.

Serve immediately on a bed of vegetables.
